My campaign goals for a stronger VFW

Discover the core principles guiding the Paragon Campaign. I am dedicated to Increasing our membership, revitalizing our mission, uniting our department, and empowering our members to better serve veterans across California.

Re-centering our mission: Veterans first

Our primary goal is to re-center the VFW on its mission: serving veterans in a real, measurable way. Every Post, every program, and every decision should answer one crucial question: does this improve outcomes for veterans? We believe that a renewed focus on direct impact will strengthen our organization and better support those who have served.

Building a stronger, unified department

Division weakens us. We aim to build a stronger, more unified Department by bringing leadership and membership together around shared priorities, clear communication, and mutual support. We don’t need competing agendas—we need aligned execution to achieve our common goals and serve our veteran community more effectively.

Modernizing operations for future success

We are committed to modernizing how we operate without losing who we are. This includes implementing better training systems, providing clearer operational guidance for Posts, and improving the use of technology. Our goal is to equip leaders to succeed, making the organization easier to lead and more effective to run for all members.

Accountability: My unique approach to progress

What makes my campaign different is accountability. I don’t point fingers or blame others—I take responsibility for outcomes and focus on solutions. This mindset, forged during my time as a Navy Combat Medic, ensures that ownership isn’t optional. My campaign is about moving forward, fixing what needs to be fixed, and delivering real results for veterans—not politics or personalities.

In the military, we learned a fundamental truth: we are one color, one gender, one unmovable force for good. Mission comes first, and anything that divides us weakens that mission. When we start separating ourselves into categories, we lose strength, cohesion, and effectiveness. Unity is not just a value—it is a force multiplier. My campaign reflects that principle: bringing us together, not apart, so we can be stronger for the veterans we serve.
